Micayla Andersen is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, specializing in dermatology and aesthetics. She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. 

 

Born and raised in New England, Micayla earned her B.S. in Biology from the University of New Hampshire. While in school she held a position as a licensed nursing assistant working with a pediatric patient population. It was there she discovered her passion for nursing and developed her warm, comforting, bedside manner.

 

After graduating, Micayla moved to New York City to continue her education, where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing at Columbia University. Upon graduating with her undergraduate degree, she obtained a position as a Registered Nurse at a cosmetic dermatology office, where she performed thousands of cosmetic laser and injectable treatments.

 

Throughout her career, Micayla has studied under some of the top dermatologists and plastic surgeons in the country. Micayla has since transitioned into her role as a Nurse Practitioner and continues to enjoy helping patients look and feel their best, by crafting and implementing personalized cosmetic treatment plans. At the Dermatology and Laser Surgery Center, her work on clinical trials and application of cutting-edge technology has enabled her to offer state of the art therapies to patients.

 

Outside of the office Micayla enjoys running, going to the beach, volunteering with animals and exploring new places.
